I have been meaning to do this for ages. I do engineering maths for a living, but havent done statistics since uni so would appreciate if anyone could have a look to make sure I haven't done anything stupid.
Say I have Ah3h
Flop is 2h7hJc
Pot is 40p
Villan bets 16p
Pot 56p
Hero ???call or fold based on odds only???
Pot odds: 56/16 = 3.5:1 or 16/(56+16) x 100 = 22.2%
No. of outs: say 9 hearts only, 9 in 47 or 1 in 5.2 or 4.2:1 or 19.2% < 22.2% therefore FOLD
No. of outs say 9 hearts and 3 aces, 12 in 47 or 1 in 3.9 or 2.9:1 or 25.5% /> 22.2% therefore CALL
Correct or a load of bs?
