Had the worst afternoon I've had for a long time today.
Had to go into a n e around 7ish, a badly swollen ankle and a viral infection is a killer combination, absolute agony.
I fear it's time for drunken DOHHHHHHH to grow up and take this game seriously, or look for a proper job. The body is starting to tell me it doesn't like the sh !t I throw into it.
Got some thinking to do/decisions to make over the next few days, if I can't learn to play sober then Im gonna have to start playing just for fun like most of you guys, maybe once or twice a week.
Thanx for running the comp, although it's a shame I couldn't commit to it. I feel that's gonna be a frequent thought over the next week or so.

Wouldn,t worry about the competition m8. There will be more and when ur on your game u will certainly bounce back - Could be a good thing and make u re-avulate or take a break - everyone does it now and then
Dohhhhhhh, You gotta stop drinking if you want to take poker seriously. If I turned up to my office with a crate of stella and started drinking it my boss would send me home and eventually i would get fired. Although i could prob do my job drunk I would not be as productive and the customers i speak to on the phone would not get the best customer service lol.
If you are gonna play serious poker you MUST NOT DRINK. Simples. Your game and results would improve too! and you would save even more money cos your not drinking! to say you cant play sober is nonsense, your thinking will be much clearer and quicker, you just need to get used to it. As Darich says, you will be unstoppable sober, just give it time!!!

THE HEADS UP GAMES :
Preferably all games to be played by Sunday night 21st nov .
The hu games will be a £1 heads up S&G nlh 10min blinds or free play 40 big blinds .
A TIP : If one is trying to organize a £1 heads up game , do so as follows :
both players first sit in a free play hu table from here one of you open a £1 hu game &
inform the other player , in this way it limits the opportunity of someone else sitting in on table .
FOR TEAM CAPTAINS :
If one cant play games on either side ,
the captain or vice captain can replace or nominate another team mate to play the hu game.
4 vote points will be awarded for each player that wins their hu game .
An extra 2 vote points for each player of the team that wins the most hu games overall .
In the event of a team draw no team points will be awarded.
NOTE IF CAPTAINS ARE NOT ON LINE & A COMP PROB ARISES ,
THE VICE CAPTAINS CAN STEP IN TO HELP SORT THINGS OUT .
FOR CHALLENGERS :
If one cant play please let us know so we can get another challenger.
The remaining challengers will get to play games as comp progresses .

THE CASH GAME
Thank you loonytoons for this cash game idea ,
all other ideas welcome from forum peeps .
The captain of each team must nominate one team mate to play for 1 hour
in a 2p/4p cash game the bring in will be £4 @ 9pm saturday night 20th nov .
important : every 10mins each player must post up in chat box in table ,
their losses or profits as the game progresses .
NOTE : YOU CAN BUY BACK IN AS MUCH AS YOU WISH !
Both nominated players from opposing teams must play on same table at
the specfied time .
Other fellow team mates can not
play on this cash table .
Please post up results in thread when finished.
The player who finishes with the most profit in cash game will get 4 points &
his team mates will also receive 2 points .
THE DEEPSTACK GAME
The captain of each team must nominate ONE team mate
to play in the £2.20 deepstack @ 9.15PM Friday night 19th nov .
Out of the 2 players chosen .
The one player who finishes highest will win 4 points & their
team mates will also receive 2 points .
