With an over pair and four to a king high flush, is there an option other than shoving here??? Didn't particularly want to check and see an A come and couldn't make a bet I'd then fold without leaving myself very short.  I'd attempted a larger pre flop raise of 2400 but the laptop was playing up and I didn't want to get timed out.

And perhaps more importantly, what sort of hand range would you put someone on to bet pre-flop the way the villain did? Second limper then calling a decent raise.

No real reads, he hadn't been on the table long but appeared to have played pretty much ABC in that time.

I don't think you need to be making it 2.4k pre btw. You want action with that stack size - if you were so intent on raising so big pre you can just shove imo.

Once you make it that pre and see that flop your happy getting monies in. I don't mind either - shove looks desperate and can easily get called by worse. Your hand is strong though and a 1/2 pot bet sets you up nicely to get the rest in on the turn. Not many cards you are scared of except another Q or non-spade A.

Id shove the flop, as for the villain it does depend could be pp or could be suited AK/AQ. Im shoving as no ace, ul if they have made flush but if they do you still are drawing to 2nd nut flush, good flop for kings just pray they dont have A J Spades which is within there range how they have played it but never folding

As above, can't go wrong really unless you check!!

Bet or shove, rest in on turn.
