Blackpool - Another Great SPT Event

First of all very many congratulations to all those who cashed, with a very well done to Brownndog (even though you took me out with your 10 10 against my K K).  Unlucky Mike and Dai.
Blackpool is not my favourite place, but the casino was a terrific venue and the tournament was run extremely professionally, so thank you to all the casino staff who made it a most enjoyable day.
The Sky staff performed to their usual very high standard, working tirelessly in the background.  Many thanks to them as always. 
As usual the comaraderie amongst all was tremendous and this adds to the pleasure of the whole occassion.
Roll on the next one!

    Great event as usual, met up with the usual suspects and had a great day, the poker went ok, I made a good start and was trebled up but in this structure if you lose a big race it is hard to come back from that and i put my 10 10 v A Q and came out behind.

    Sian grinded her way to 41st, I was 75th or so

    Many congrats to Loki-Rogy who took down the casino's saturday night tournament for A COOL £740

    First time for me and the wife (cheryl222) had a great time and great to put faces to the names, very nice to meet you to dollie a true gent unlucky you just miss out on the cash, met TK and had lisa-marie and glitterbabe on my table glitterbabe was having fun raising me off a hand with 72 ! didn't expect to get far as iv not had two much real table play but found the casino dealers very helpful, a very enjoyable experience  cant wait for the next one well done sky and the team

    Don't know why he wouldn't chop when I had 50K and he had 600K. Doesn't he know live poker is fixed?

    Congrats to Mike1975 for the 3rd place, glad we didn't do a last longer in the end!

    Another great SPT event by the Sky Team.  Thanks to all involved in pulling it together!!

    Congratulations to Browndog on the win.  Huge congrats to Mike1975 for his 3rd place I know how chuffed he was and it was well deserved well done Mike!!!  Well done also to Rospink on cashing aswell - great achievement.

    Was great to catch up with the regular SPT people and meet some new faces along the way.  Always good to put faces to names and meet new people which is what makes the SPT events so much fun. 

    Already really looking forward to the net leg in Newcastle in January - bring it on!!!

    it was another great day, i have enjoyed every spt i have been too, this one was a bit more special of course ;)

    it is always fun meeting up with all the regulars and i would like to thank everyone that railed me on the ft including the amazing jamielou  xx, amarie, maxally, solar, sian and the rest of the Rochdale mob, sorry if i missed anyone.

    i have to give Dantb10 a mention for being a top guy and taking a sick bad beat with dignity.

    also paul (pool8) for being so **** funny on the rail :)

    and of course well done to brownndog who really was a different class on the ft.

    I second everything Dollie said. The Casino was great, the staff were amazingly well organised, Sky Staff were helpful & friendly, the update thread was as up to date as anyone could have wanted - Amazing job as always by Rich. It was an all-round fantastic day. Only downside was the issues with the microphone meaning no commentary - but why do we all want to hear Tikays voice so much?!
     
    Obviously Mike coming 3rd made the day :-), he played the whole game so well and truly deserved his spot on the Final Table, and without being too biased, so did Lewis aka Brownndog, he took a couple of big hits on the final table but never gave up.

    Quote of the day - Pool8 to Daiboot "He's not listening to music, he's listening to sheep!! Bahhhh!" Had the whole card room filled with laughter!

    Roll on SPT Leg 2!

    Pool8 had me in stitches all weekend, despite dantb's claim he never says anything funny. Top bloke, top crowd in general. Well done dollie for taking the cracked KK like a gent but what can you do, the live software was obviously stacked in browndog's favour. ;)

    Yeah, what a weekend. Well done Lewis on taking it down and well done to everyone who made the Final table. Looking foward to the next one, mite stay off the beer, wo feeling rough Saturday after a late 1 in the casino Friday.

    Highlight - Ben coming in at 7.30am Sunday morning  after Dan took his key, kicking off that he looked under every plant pot in the garden to get in hotel and spent 2 hours outside - dan just rolled over and went back to sleep

    great SPT again, had a blast- shout out to driving buddy Mark (sara36) and my other master golfing pals (4fingers, digger and ness), fantastic fun! Shame the poker sucked, but hey- I can blame that on the alcohol... right? RIGHT?

    Probably not going to be at newcastle, but looking forward to the next SPT after that for sure! :D

    Great weekend once again!

    Well done BDAWG! u legend!

    Special mention to dai and mike who both finalled and are top guys.

    Anyone else thing mike1975 is multi accounting in real life and is actually rufus hound off celebrity juice? lol

    GG sky again, all the crew and all the players. (except pool8 who wont stop texting me his 1 class joke of the year that EVERYONE in the casino heard! SIGH...)

    Thanks for all the nice comments guys. It was a great day with many fantastic players in the field so it feels great to have came out on top. The atmosphere during the final table was amazing, thanks to everybody who was cheering me on the rail. And well done to all those on the final. I only recognised Mike and Dai and they both played brilliantly and their big cashes were very well deserved.  Looking forward to the next leg so I an defend my crown. :-). Thanks again.

    yet again a top weekend, shows what a good place sky is to play poker....nice to meet some people ive seen online and never met before, congrats to my good m8 lewis on a great win although he is golden...........

    Banter was amazing as always, just like to say cheers to nutter for starting me on double vodkas i felt great the next day and enjoyed my 6 hour drive home FML.............

    look forward to the next one...........

    Hi all

    Finally recovered on what was again a great weekend. These events are just fantastic,  where else can you meet so many top top people, obv too many to name but you know who you all are!!!!
    Well done Lewis you played a great game and really are a credit to skypoker and I too would love to see you on the team.. Timing is everything in poker and I'm pretty sure I would have ran deeper until I got moved off your table, I enjoyed 3 betting you for fun lol.....and sorry to Maxally for making his life a nightmare the pictures prove it after 3b shoving him twice when I knew he had me down as last the longest!!! I really did have AK and AQ though,,,
