I am visiting DTD in Nottingham on Wednesday for my first live game, just wondered if anyone knows if they have any parking and if not if there is anywhere nearby

    They have a tonne of parking!!!!

    You'll be fine. Wind your way towards the front door there are often spaces near the front as people fill up from the middle.

    I have a question for people who play or have played at DTD...

    Seeing as it is a dedicated poker establishment, are the players generally tougher than in a casino, as a lot of the players in a casino I would imagine to have more gamble in them as they are also there for all the table games.
    I`m mainly talking about cash games, but also mtt`s

    Most nights DTD set up 2 tournaments, the 1st is a smaller buyin the 2nd is a larger 1, when I was there I played the larger buyins and the standard was alright. Its always the same faces, people who play most nights, not sure about the smaller buyin I'm guessing they are a lot softer.

    p.s The cash games are sooo bad its a joke. Triple your buyin is standard

    I think you could get unlucky and happen to get a table full of tough regulars, but I think the average standard is much like any other poker room.

    It could possibly be lower than average, purely because the extra people you can fit in because of it's higher capacity are just more likely to be fishy players than good ones.

    The tournies get lots of regulars but tonnes of them are terrible. the cash games especially the 50p 1£ have lots of people coming and going, less so with the 1/2 but their still good games because they are live!
