re raise 480 imo and if turn is safe (non diamond j 6 ) id shove turn
I dont what don did and flatted lol
FWIW i would have re-raised flop price them out of flush etc 480 roughly i would bet here and if safe turn shove any non diamond. if diamond would have to re-evaluate and depends whether you'd put them on playing a flush this way
Sure, He shouldn't have been in the hand, but I can see why he might reraise you on the flop as he was likely testing you out due to the fact the flop might not really be hitting a preflop raisers range. After that his turn call isn't uber great, but he is getting 3:1 to call with his gutshot, and he may even be considering that his queen and ace are still live and counting those into his maths (if he is even doing any maths at all).
I always assume early in a tournament that you want to take the pots when you have them, or really make them pay, as you will get a lot of average/poor players still in at this stage and those are the ones that make stupid calls chasing overs, or gutshot draws etc. So I'd have played it way stronger even if it only won me a smaller pot.
As i said in prviouse post i was sure i was ahead down eveyr street, dint have him on trips or any thing. Only card sbeating me are obviously trips q9 or aq, i dint think he had either as he done a raise on the flop, so just assumed he had a Ten, I dint know river gave him straight (obviously)
Its way to easy just to say "I would have played it stronger." Obv play it stronger and you would still be in the tournament but when you hit your set you've got to be thinking how can I get him to put all his chips on the middle. 9/10 you are getting more value for your set by slow playing. Also I like the small turn bet, or even a check as it might tempt a jam from him.
