i dont mind the call pre, see the flop for a chance of flush...you hit and raised, rightly so, as soon as he reraises id fold, or snap shove...

calling just gets you into trouble.

also noticing stack sizes, he was pretty much calling anything you throw at him.

Hi newps, Heres my take on it post flop play is pretty bad. I dont mind the limp if you are trying to get in cheap for a flush or two pair, but never in that position and never calling the raise unless the oppos a complete donkey. K8 is an awful hand in my opinion, will always lose your more than it wins unless you play it suited for a flush, and then in position.

Post flop: you felt you had the best hand on the flop no? then bet more than half the pot prefarably shoving with your size stack. betting half give good odds to lots of hands and he is deeper than you so in all sorts of trouble. After the reraise you need to shove.

the out come would have been the same i fear.....so in short fold pre

I found this site after a year of starting and it improved my understanding of the game and starting hands etc alot...... read the bit about low stakes, and play like that for a while.

Sorry mods if im not aloud to post this but it isnt another poker site just a tips site - tell me off if against the rules lol

I'm sorry. I know this might sound harsh but I don't mean to be.

You have K-8 preflop, under the gun. Just fold, every time. Correcting this mistake will save you so much money in the long run.

    Fold pre, preferably but...

as mickjenn he will play pretty much any 2, on the flop you have top pair good kicker, back door flush. I would bet 240 and if mickjenn goes all in would call definately likely your betting him if re-raised shove

bottom line although you should have folded pre you got the money in good just got outdraw so ul
