The AA hand is a little unlucky, however the NL4 hand, i dont believe you can call a joke. He flops top pair with a flush draw with gap suited connectors, sorry to say it your behind when the money goes it, as a result you got out played.

Guys, we all understand poker can be frustrating at times but, posting hands in the general section of the forum attempting to belittle other peoples play is not a not only unfair to the other players but, also reflects badly upon yourselves.

if you do want to post hands for people to give their option's on, the poker clinic is the place to do that and i think you will find that they will be gratefully received an you might be surprised by some of the replies you get considering what you think are bad plays.

if you just want to let off steam then area51 is the place to post them.

no matter where you post them though, you should be editing the hands so that the other players names are removed.

this helps keep this forum a nice friendly place.

How bout this then. Had pair of Aces from Flop. Fair enough I only bet 10p. But the guy calls with a 10 3 spades. There was no flush draw at that point. So why the **** would you fish with a 10 - 3??? Turn and River gave the fish a flush. Point is... ridiculous rubbish calling with a 10 3 from that point... OMG

As for the top post, it was dumb re raising cuz there is so many higher kickers. Had an 8 as a kicker. You wouldn't go all in with it. But everyone has there different opinions. As for the 10 3 fishing from there with no draws is a bit ridiculous. Many people will have bad hands sadly that happens, but on here way to often.

Whether you agree with that one or not doesn't matter. You never saw how the guy was playing in the room, even Sporny who was there would definately not agree with the guys play style, who in the end walked away with nothing because of it. He raised with any hands and pretty much went all in with any hands regardless of whether he hit or not. He fished with anything and everything.
Good play style you don't whine about, bad styles you do.

Well in truth you could be right... then again I wouldn't personally call with a K7 off suite to begin with :P. Poker is a learning game, I haven't played all that long but I am a good player just I also have lots to learn. Posting hands can give input and help to develop a persons skills. I appreciate your opinion and take it on board. There is no need for harshness though.

To be honest mate. You're playing 2p/4p levels. People's calling range is a lot wider. The guy in your first post has ever right to go all in. You may have been ahead this time but the majority of the time you could of had two overcards only, or even worse a smaller pair. With top pair and a flaush draw (and for the fact it's small stakes) then he's 100% correct to do what he did.

As for the point you've made in the quote above.... aren't these the players you want to play? Wait to you have the goods and they will pay you off everytime....

Threads like this make we want to weep.

Only in poker do players bemoan the fact that their opponents are bad. Honestly, you could not make it up.

I'd love to help these guys who are complaining, I really would, & I could, but until people understand sample size, & how poker works, I'd be flogging a dead horse.

I get more PM's, more FB questions, more Posts on "Ask tikay", than anything else, saying "how could he call?". All of which miss the point completely.

But here's some stuff which may help, though I fancy I'm not going to make much progress.
 
Sample Size.

Never take a view on one hand, one session, one evening, one week, or even one month. A fair sample size to judge your luck & ability is tens of thousands of hands, not one hand. This is a fact, not an opinion.

Quality of Opponent.

The worse your opponent, the more money you will win over time. The better your opponent, the less you will win. Play poker against Ivey & Co, & they'll skin you alive.  Play poker against worse players, & you'll do OK.

Focusing on bad plays by others.

Don't. Just don't. That's it, do not do it. Why would you? It's their money, they can do as they wish. They can call with ANYTHING if they so desire. It's none of my or your business how badly they play, because it is their money.

Beating the game.

Beating the game is simple. Here's how to do it.

a) Play against inferior opposition.

b) Play technically good poker. Which is very simple to do. Just do the basics correctly, & consistently. Thats all.

Being beaten by the game.

Anyone who worries about bad play by opponents will lose money in poker.

Bad plays by opponents mean those guys win, say, 1 hand in 5 by playing badly. Which means that, over time, we will win 4 hands in 5.
 
We cannot have our cake & eat it. LET the bad guy play bad, he is your profit. Over time.

PS - PLEASE don't call our arguably less skilled opponents "idiots". It's rude, it's bad manners, it's not exactly losing with dignity, but most of all, it makes no sense.  Thanks.
