No, the venue disappointed us last year in terms of their performance for us. Not their facilities.

Where? the Circus aren't interested in hosting 3rd party events and the Maybury is not ideal as its across two card-rooms

It really is extremely difficult to run third party events in Scottish casinos these days. Even the UKIPT hires the Corn Exchange as no casino can cope with what they require

er what answer do you want?

the venues for 2010-11 are set

Will consider the Maybury and other Scottish venues for 2011-12, assuming there is a tour after this year.

Hopefully by then things will be different!

A casino i visted recently might not be ideal was the Gala Merchant in Glasgow. Again this is downstairs so might not be ideal. I was recently there for my poker leagues regional final. Everyone seems to enjoy it and they do accomodate very well.

The league currently holds the nationals at the Maybury but thats more central. Seems to be that the Maybury is prefered by most.

The last time I recce'd this Venue (which I did, for Sky Poker SPUKT, Season 1) they did not have adequate or legally-compliant disabled Access "all areas".

They offered a temporary Heath-Robinson solution at a cost of £2,000 though.

I have used the Maybury for many Third Party Events, including Sky Poker, but for a variety of reasons, it's no longer acceptable. Coincidentally, I was there last weekend.
