Ok the villian has been playing rather odd. Made a similar play with K high. However in this spot what do you do?

    Once you checked the turn you look like you have given up on the hand. Why are you thinking about calling with 3rd pair now, you can only beat a bluff.

    No. Once he calls flop then you gotta lock down.  Sometimes he'll have some random PP but I think more often then not he has a Q/6 here.
