I weren't sure if u were joking with u're criticism Greg.......

But I'm playing loads of tournys and multi table sngs, so I have to learn about bubble dynamics/laddering and stuff - had no way of discussing the hand with u further after the table closed.

If I was you, i would check it down in this situation, i would not isolate with 44 because im at best flipping and this is bringing the short stack into it.

But, as you are likely to finish in the top 2 anyway with over half the chips in play, it probably doesn't really matter because Greghogg needs a very good hand to call. I actually folded KJ o/s, so maybe i should isolate?

In my situation, as the middle stack, i was keen to check it down. I dont know whether your shove is "correct" in this situation, but, my inclination is always to check down here and i assumed you would do this.

Your play surprised me, i wasn't criticizing it (except in jest), you may well be correct.

by flatting you give your opponent a chance of tripling up and will be back in the hunt, by isolating your bullyin second place and have a hand which you dont want to give 2nd place a chance to hit. also because of this raise it also gives you a better chance to win the pot and not give more chips to the opponent

the difference between us jamming and folding to the villains potential stack size is one third of a big blind.
