In Response to Re: misclick pre leads to nothing but trouble - opinions : its not a mistake folding it pre but the way these opponents play your risking 4p to win a potential 3 or 4 £, i think limping in late pos in multiway pot is ok with that kind of hand Posted by N1CK
What sort of flop we happy with after limping with J8s??
Limping allows every other suited hands to see the flop as well such as Qxs+.
Why are we now discussing limping at NL4 with a marginal hand, goes against everything I have been told or learnt for myself, we would end up limping into too many pots, bleeding away chips and getting into tricky situations.
I wont ever be limping in with J8s in any position in NL4.
As you become more experienced/competent at playing flops/reading boards, player betting patterns, and understanding basic concepts of pot control/value town, you can start to open up your game.
If you feel you are going to make the mistake of putting 50xbb in on a jack high flop with J8s, multi way, then fold it pre flop, fine.
If you understand what you are trying to achieve by playing it in position multi way, and are confident you can achieve it, then it's definitely a playable hand.

i understand what your saying and i wouldnt encourage beginner players learning the game to limp in with these hands but i think Dohhhh last post sums it up pretty well,
If i did make a flush with j8 in this scenario at these stakes im 100% happy getting my stack in
