Did I play this badly?

Hi all,

This hand was in a bounty hunter when the blinds were 50/100. I'm not that happy with the way I played this, I'm thinking I might have been better showing more strength pre flop and more on the turn after the call on the flop but I'm really not sure. Seeing as poker is a constant learning curve I thought I'd get some opinions.

    preflop, fine.

Flop, fine, although im not too much of a fan of this sort of oop bet with nothing. maybe bet 200, or just check is better imo.

Turn, need to be betting more here, 3/4 or up to pot.

River, as played, no getting off this as its tough to put them on AJ.

The key is the turn, you must bet more imo.

Thanks for the feedback Greg I appreciate it. In hindsight a check on the flop would have been a much better play and I was already thinking the turn bet was too low so lesson learned on that one.

Right i dont understand how you raise the flop but not pre, dont mind the flat call here.

Im not a fan of betting this flop, turn bet more 3/4 at least, river always going in here. Pre-flop debateable i probably would raise but dont think a call is bad, on the flop just a donk bet any reason behind this? you have a gut shot but i wouldn't bet it. as said previously as the villain didnt raise pre very hard to put them on AJ so the rest just plays itself

Bit strange to bet 300 on the flop but not raise preflop, raise pre is a must for me. If you got two callers OOP you could just check that flop as it's likely one has hit something.

In this hand on the turn bet needs to be over 750 to have any meaning, 450 is screaming CALL !!!!

On river I'd just shove, no point messing around with his stack and yours.

    Thanks for the feedback.

The big blind and the initial caller had both been seeing a lot of flops and folding to any decent sized bet post flop. The 300 bet was to try and push them off the pot but looking back it was a pretty silly move as I was only collecting 200 if they had folded and probably more importantly I was OOP and vulnerable to that call. I should have checked it and gone from there. The turn bet is frankly woeful on my part.
