as he raised pre then called my re-raise pre im happy to give him credit for a strongish hand, not sure what his re-raise on the flop meant. does he have a monster or nothing??

    looking mostly at pre flop then the flop you have to be against AK here. IMO anyways.

    Fold and wait for a better spot.

    Also your 3-bet pre looks very weak.

    i understand the bigger bet pre but why the smaller bet on flop?? if its an easy answer then i appoligse as im a bit thick.....

    obviousy its a simple answer for him and a very lazy answer as most of us are guilty of, we all should be reminded that when we give advice or comment on hands we should give reasons,

    how can anyone improve or understand theory or the best play without concrete evidence to back it up......did this turn in to a rant??

    well tbh one line answers can be great if the person thinks about why someone might offer this as advice

    basically its a super dry board so we dont have to worry about draws. its a 3bet pot and we only have a SPR(stack to pot ratio) of 4 which means its super easy to bet small and get the stacks in by the river (if we want to)

    betting smaller also makes our bluffs cheaper and will get villain to call with a wider range. (vs aggro villains betting smallr can also induce a raise so be careful with those maniacs)
