FULL HOUSE TURNED INTO A BLUFF GONE WRONG

Please help as I think I messed this hand up pre flop, flop, turn and river :(

When he checks the river I put him on a Q and thought I could get him to fold and take the whole pot instead of splitting it.  What hand do you put him and how do you think I should have played all the streets.  I couldn't put him on quads as he bet out when the third 8 hit on the turn.  Should I have just checked behind river or should I have called his river shove?

Dunno why you think you messed up flop or turn, what else can you do on those streets? Maybe you can raise flop against some players with enough history but mostly it's just a call. Preflop isn't necessarily bad, I can see all 3 options being viable depending on how wide the guy is opening pre and how he plays to a reraise. River I'd just check back cause I wouldn't expect anyone at 10p/20p to check/fold a Queen and they may sometimes get tricky with an ace, risk not worth the reward.

im guessin he had a 10, a j type hand and hes just fired out on the paired flop as quite often here is ace high is gd, especially if the original raiser has been active.
personally id probably like to see a raise on the turn, surely you want to try and make the pot bigger here as 4 times out of 5 the river isnt an overcard and you have the best hand??? plus the 3rd 8 for me rules out the chance of him holding one.

I could put him on an 8 here, he obviously has a read on you, sees you betting and representing the Queen, he hits the quads and wants to build the pot for value on the river. And when hes bravely check the river and then min-raised, alarms bells ring for quads.

Therefore i'd be checking the river here, especially with an overcard to your queen. Wasn't too much wrong with the rest of your play imo.

Surely you can call the river getting 6/1?

it's really tough without a read, 20nl players from the sb could really have anything. However without a  read I think the clue lies in his flop bet and 90% of the time we could bet reraising a donk bet on a paired board that isn't drawing with your whole range from BB. If he's a tight player calling a utg open from the sb then I think you can narrow him down to AQ here but it's extremely tough without any history or read.

I was watching the hand at the time and this was my assumption. AQ makes the most sense.

    I don't think they have the 8.

    It's another 6 to win 34.80?

He has just a queen enough times here to justify calling for a split.

Good Point but that doesn't excuse the fact that you lost me the money Greg as I was going to fold. LOL
