    With respect Deb the purpose of the Poker Clinic is to help improve your's and other people's games.

    But you seem to be posting hands where you, and everyone else KNOWS you did nothing wrong and where your opponent gets lucky!

    This section of the forum is not for bad beats. Area 51 was designed specifically for hands and topics like this, so post it there please! thanks.

    We dont have to explain, or justify our opponants play, how they play is up to them, its their money! All we have to make sure is that we make the right decisions, which you seem to be doing, so keep it up!!!

    Tbf most of your posts do not deserve a serious reply. Why should you want someone to have to explain the call to you? You know it's a bad call, most people that play poker are not good at the game. Simples.

    And btw for someone who is 43 (guessing by your alias?), to be acting with the maturity of a 5 year old is a bit special.

    To try to answer the question Debs: 

    No I don't think players can see your cards or know what cards are coming. 

    This was a low buy-in sat and some people see it as a ''fling'' or a gamble. There's probably a score of other reasons why someone would do this: A knock at the door, telephone call etc.

    The fact is that at such a low buy-in people will do strange things. Not everyone takes their poker as seriously as you do.

    There is possibly also a good reason for what seems a ridiculous call. When I get short stacked I forget the cards I have in hand, I look for any multi-way pot which will give me the most return.

    AK is a drawing hand against 72 suited ur only a 65% fav the rest of the time a bad call will beat u..... tiss poker!

    I saw a hand play out live this weekend, Deb you'd be proud.


    It wasn't cheating it was just 'power poker'.



    A gentelman limps utg a few more people limp and the big blind pumps it up.

    UTG calls because why not, and it's heads up to the AQTr flop. BB bets 1/3 pot. UTG calls.


    So far so fun, Turn 5o the BB checks UTG bets, BB check raises, UTG thinks for a bit asks how much left, sees that its basically nothing more and that the guy is pretty effectively all in, and then UTG declares he's all in. Gets snapped by the BB who has the A with an A for top set. 


    Mr UTG limp call had the ol 2 and 4 offsuit.....


    This was the 2nd level of a £100 freezeout. He had 4 outs once..........




    he was surprised when he lost..............

    That's what makes the play so sick , he peels the flop with no pair no draw, so you can kinda see why he got so excited by the sudden appearance of 4 outs lawl.

    he looked very disappointed when it didn't hit!
