Now if you've spent enough time playing the reg in question you'd know that he never leave's the kids in the street. I don't remember him ever folding after raising to just one raise. He plays fast, loose and well IMO. Call pre is fine in line with his playing style. He understands he'll drop a few buy ins in spots like this. I'm not all over his play in this hand but it has it's pluses and taking this hand in a vacuum isn't completely fair. How many times are you C-betting with AK, AJ, Tens, etc?
ive played this guy a few times & stuff like this has happened every time we have been involved in a big pot! nobody has tilted me more in the past than him!
but he seems like a decent lad & he must be doin summat right!
Your cbet size is too big.
why's that? The hand played out perfectly for him (with the exception of the guy hitting) and the solid c-bet that makes it clear he's committed to the hand should fold out a lot, right? And the pot's big enough to take down on flop without dramas- if someone does want to play, there's a very good chance you're ahead (as he was).
What would your ideal c-bet be on that flop?
I would probably bet ~ 18-19 here, with this kinda size my opponents would think they have fold equity so are more likely to get their stack in lighter, and also it balances my range for when I have AK or some other rubbish I decided to 3bet with and want to take the pot down without becoming pot committed.
