Why do you charge 50% extra rake on low level BH tournies?

Just noticed that £2BHs are charged 30p rake, and the £5 are charged 75p rake, compared to the standard rake on the normal NLHE tournies of 20p and 50p respectfully.

However this pattern doesn't continue on the £10/£20BHs, where the rake falls in line with the industry wide standard of 10pc of £1/£2.

Why is this? Can someone from Sky please explain?  I would have thought that charging extra rake on the low limit tournies looks quite bad to new players who are used to 10pc on other sites.

Thank you

........ and £2 and £5 Bounty Hunter tournaments, the rake is 50% higher than freezeouts at the same buy-in.

LOL, so you did. For some reason I thought you were talking about DYMs. That'll teach me to post on the forum between hands.

    This is what I meant;

+1 Why is this so Sky?

Always intrigued me that on a MTT £2 BH rake is 30p, but on a STT it is only 25p...... not really sure if there is a reason behind this ????????

I asked this question way back when BH tourneys started and was told by sky that its is 'a business discision' as to the size of the rake whatever that means lol

I have raised this issue a few times and was told that this is the rake that fits in with the "current business model"-- obviously there could not possibly be better justification than that for ripping off the low stakes players on the site----innit!

Here is one for Sky Vegas to answer

I played Texas HoldEm bonus earlier and finished up 10p (don't spend it all at once Dave)

Looking in my account I was only credited 9p

    They do this every time!!

Why are Sky Vegas stealing 1p?

    Dave

In case any of you haven't noticed each of the last 2 mornings there have been two new £150 gtd bounty hunter tournaments at 9-45 and 10-45am, the buy-in is £3.00 + 30p.

    That's only 10% rake.

Support them if you can and we might get more.

They have to put that little extra box above your name where it shows your head value, therefore will cost them more to run the tourney ;-)
