tough decision this early in a deepstack, i would only be worried about the villain having the ace as 89 clubs would be very unlikely there and if he did have it i doubt he would shove on the flop.
i think more likely he has a set, 2 pair or maybe a smaller flush and he doesnt want anyone with flush draw to call, all things considered i think i would call and if he has the ace and hits gl to him
I snap call, if he's flopped the nut flush or straight flush then so be it, I just put it down to one of those things and move onto the next tournament.
There's no way you can realisticly put him on only 8c9c or AcXc. He would probably play slowly with hands like that, not suddenly go all aggresive on you.
There are many other holdings in his range; the nut flush draw, two pair, a set, a made off-suit straight, top pair with the nut flush draw, a lower flush. If you are ahead around 40% or more of the time (you are) then it's a good call and +ev.
