easy to say in hindsight, but I think that river bet is rarely a bluff. I would be more inclined after he calls the raise and the straighty card comes down to check and reevaluate- I'd be putting him on a drawing hand on flop, either club or straight, and based on the action hands like 10J of clubs are quite likely. The turn check does seem a little weak, but when he check calls and shoves river, I think you have to be sure he's hit his hand somewhere down the line. I wouldn't mind checking behind on turn and re-evaluating the river in position- controls the pot, and makes a shove a lot easier to fold to without so much lost. As is, he'd probably bet much smaller and you can get showdown against a lot of hands, and cheaper notes than stacking off.

Oh, and the pre sizing was fine. At 5/10 you could possibly make it 40/50 with real premium hands, since people are quite likely to call anyway and you want maximum value from them. I think it's only when you hit 15/30 you need to start being careful about preflop bet sizing, since people start looking at your hands.

was trying to be wary but this guy has been playing so loose its unreal, calling 90% of raises etc.

well in that case the call's understandable, but I'd still be a little careful, maniacs tend to stack themselves pretty easy, and bear in mind- all you have there is an overpair. There's so many hands he calls you with that have you crushed- a handful of straights and 2 pair, or a set. With a set of kings, or even a paired board, there's a lot more value in calling- but I think calling the river against a maniac is still tricky.
