Crazy river call!

I can not understand this guys game one bit, why did he call the river my jaw dropped when I saw his hand.
A bit of history this guys idea of raising was shoving all in or massive over raise, and limpt into every pot calling any raise to see the flop, turn and only fold the river should he miss. He had been called down a few times with his all ins and won a few with much weaker hands, at one point he had over £70. I did lose 180 bb with a AK when he shoved again pre KK! Which was a crazy move as without AK I would have folded, so you now I hope have a picture of this unpredictable maniac.
The Hand: He flatted my BB and with the A was not going to let him see the flop cheap, with my reads was sure he did not have an A. After hitting top pair on the flop decided to play it aggressive with this guy all the way to the river.
Can anyone work out why he called the river apart from a misclick, which I doubt?

i played against a guy like this wednesday night no matter what the raise was he would flat every time at one time i was the initial raiser hadnt hit the flop but c betted anywaysdidnt hit on the turn but again bet by this time the pot was about £22 river comes i still dont hit but i check and he checks to turn over the exact same hand as what i had K-9 baring in mind the flop and the turn gave no straight or flush draws it was amazing what he was doing then he busted me with 2-3o into my K K
