Hi occationally I have value bet the river with a queen or king high flush (pretty sure he is on a flush too) and then got raised by an ace high flush. Do you think it is best to in the long run just check these flush and call when he bets.

Also when i have a straight or a flush on the river and their is a paired bored do you think it is best to check the river and (possibly call the bet if it is not to high) rather than hoping he has trips and betting...

Cheers,

hamster

bet/folding is alot more profitable than check calling when you have a strong hand

when value betting think about what hands could call you and what hands would reraise you, if you value betting thin (not many hands that could call) bet an amount small enough for them hands to have a chance of calling

as lol says its more profitable to bet fold than check call, by check calling you lose value when they check behind
