    And heres a good story to show that you can win big from betting small..I read this article yesterday

    John Jelley became Britain’s biggest ever elderly Jackpot winner at the weekend after winning £345,126 from a £9 horse racing bet placed in his local ******** in Burry Port, South Wales.

    Jelley, 88 wasn’t even aware of his huge win after falling asleep and forgetting to check the results, only finding out when he returned to ********* the next day to place his usual bet.

    The winning horses included ‘Forget it'at 12/1 which he included due to his dodgy memory. He only started betting 3 years ago aged 85 to pass the time after he broke his wrist and bets solely on names without ever studying the form. 

    Mr Jelley said: "I filled in my slip the same as usual and then forgot all about the horses. I was watching the telly when I began to doze off and by the time I woke up I'd missed the results. I had no idea what had happened.

    "I came in on Sunday morning to do my bets again and that's when the staff told me I was rich. I thought they were taking the mickey and I told them I was too old for practical jokes. They showed me the screen and I just laughed."

    Jelley plans to celebrate his win by going on a cruise just 8 miles along the coast to neighbouring town Kidwelly, before returning in time for his favourite supper of sausages & mash.

    My first treble won..And like all good e/w trebles the shortest price 1 is unplaced at 9/4 then the second two win at 7/2 & 3/1

    And the short priced treble

    Been following this thread for the last couple of days and dedcided to have a crack at it today

    Never been the best at picking horses but what the ****, it's quicker than losing at the tables lol

      Same here Kaymac, i have always been told to bet singles for a profit but i do like to do the odd treble either as a Patent / Trixie or treble so i figure £28 lay out is cheap enough to see if its possible to make a profit gl with your bets today
