Ok as im in some good form seriously considering plaiyng my first live event on thursday. I have played 100's home games and a few pub league games and do quite well, but think it would be a good experiance to start playing live and when better to do it when your running & playing good?

Format is 25 minute blinds, 12k starting. Buy in £75(just a standard night out so not that big a deal)

'IF' you are well in credit and can afford this, I say go for it! Try and play your natural game and sit tight for the first few levels while you get the feel of the table and the players around you. If you are playing with the NEED to cash, I would advise against it.

I played my 1st big live game @ DTD last year which was a £100 F/O (oh, those happy days when I could afford that) and TBH was slightly nervous. I eventually relaxed and played some of my best poker. Even though I think I finished about 22nd (out of 200+) and out of the cash prizes, I fully enjoyed the day!

The way my on line game is at the moment, I might join you playing live again!! Where you playing?

You'd be better off staying in and playing the £33 BH, TSP classic, £5.50 deepstack, 9pm £1k gtd and spending the other 15 quid on a beef chow mein, special fried rice, spring rolls and sweet and sour sauce.

    Value ftw.

    I voted go for it.

Whilst your confidence is up there will be no better time.

    Although I prefer Hurst05's option.

Go to Reigate YOUNG GUN, especially if you are going to Luton, cos its same price as Luton's friday night game.
+ it will give you practise before Luton.Reigate's only 45mins from Tun Wells, I used to do the trip regularly.
Oh! and thanks, I read something you wrote this morning about %'s  and it helped me qualify for a tourny.

Just realised it is too far south for me John and is on my pool night so won't be able to come and play/rail/heckle you!

Get some Live action experience in and lets drag JJ out to a casino one week end!....could be fun to get a few of the forum regs out and have a meet up other than the SPT's which are increasingly getting out of the normal ave players grasp on here now!

if you want live experiance why dont you go to the casino and play 3 £20 freezeouts, they normally get more runners so its better value + you get to go 3 times
