Hey Guys,

i've got another fun little competition for you here... hopefully you'll like this one.

(if you have't already noticed, this lovely forum allows you to upload your own pictures. just by by clicking the little picture symbol while making posts you can upload a whole world of fun into you forum contributions. i'm not entirely sure if we are doing enough of this....

So..... what i want from you are your poker photos /stories or preferably both!

we will keep this thread open for a couple of weeks and try and get as many entries from you all as possible. when finally closed we will pick 3 winners.

Prizes

1st prize - be the envy of your friends with A Sky Poker branded chip set and reinforced aluminum carry case. + free entry to one of our top tournaments (god, i felt a bit like Bruce Forthsythe after saying that!)

2nd prize - various Sky poker merchandise and free entry into one of our tournaments

3rd prize - free entry into one of our tournaments.

what you have to do

we all know you love your poker and must get through quite a few hours of playing both online and live so we want to see you in action! post us your best, funniest, most unusual photos of yourself playing the great game. your entry can be of a singular photo or of multiple pictures that make up a story. (a little descriptive line explaining exactly what you are up to also wont hurt your chances of you wining.)

just played at your local casino? been on a trip to Vegas? played online somewhere strange? got a great snap from the SPUKT? ....we want to see it!

you can make as many entries as you want so get snapping!

check my example out for some ideas..

Good luck!

    My SPUKT Swansea Journey

An Overview of the the cardroom at the start (Im sat just below the photographer so you cant see me (2 seats to my right is Michelle Orpe)

After an up and down day I make the final table.. But with only 11k and straight on the BB (which is 8k) Tikay introduces me as the man thats going to "Bully" the table.

Tikay without realising was actually RIGHT!! After a 1st hand triple up, I used the chips to shove everytime the action folded to me, building up a 100k stack (im sat to the right of the pic)

3 Players left and i "Spot weakness" from the Small blind trying to raise my blind... I make a stand and put all my chips in with A8... Unfortunatly, weakness was KK!! oops.. Out 3rd, a great day and great cash and a seat to the main event.

OK, how about a Poker Photo Story? This is a (genuine) tale of grit, determination and commitment to grinding.

It's also a sorry tale of addiction and obsession.

Last Friday, I went to The Loose Cannon's Club at Mansion House, and was greeted by a good mate, who for the purposes of this story, I'll call Jeremy Brown (purely because that's his real name). He came over and announced to my table that “He smelt quite bad”.

Whilst shooting him a quizzical look, I noticed that the veins on his neck were pumping nine to the dozen, and his pupils were the size of your average Franklin Mint commemorative plate ('Snow Tiger', if you're interested).

It turns out that Jeremy had started playing at The Big Slick in Croydon the previous evening (Thursday), at 8.30pm. Sadly, he busted out, and went on to The Empire at 11pm and played right around the clock until 6pm the following day... Without a break.

So now, we're on Friday night, and from Leicester Square, he had joined me at Loose Cannon's. Again: This is all without rest or sleep (except for comfort breaks, obviously... The man's not a total addict you know).

Apparently, the reason his neck veins were hammering so hard, was because he'd eventually got bored of Coca-Cola, and resorted to drinking 8-Shot Espressos.

We both left Loose Cannon's at about 11.30 and hit The Grosvenor, until it closed at 5.30am, whereupon I retired home, perchance for sweet repose (I needed a kip, basically). Jeremy then went back to The Empire until 8.30am Saturday morning.

In all, a whopping 36 hour continual stint, with all food taken at the tables.

I was very impressed, and took the photo below at 3.30am on Friday morning. As you can see, he was simultaneously cuddling the mast of a security camera (for support); a Full-Fat Coke; and 'Desmond's'. Just beautiful.

My mate clearly gambles far too much, and whilst I'm moderately concerned for his welfare... do I win a prize?

P.S. No Poker players were hurt during this episode. Jeremy is a winning player, and this shouldn't be repeated by others. The value of your bankroll may go up as well as down, and past Pocket Aces is no guarantee that you'll ever see them again. If in doubt, consult the nearest adult.
