Getting used to cash games

I have had a dabble at cash before, but now i would like to start playing a bit more serious cash games. What level would you suggest to start? I dont want to start too low, as the game isnt the same as when you move up a few levels, but i dont want to jump straight in on the big cash games. I suppose i am looking for a happy medium if there is one.
Thanks in advance,
Jon

Like Dan says it depends on your bankroll try and enter a cash level where you have 20 buy-ins worth and what you think you'll be comfortable at. So for example if you've got a BR of £170 you would be best playing 8nl (4/8p).

i think if you feel that you have to ask for advice on this then i would recommend you start at 2/4p

Anything under 20nl is good to start on.

From 20nl upwards it gets harder imo.

What i have done on the cash tables is mix it up,rather than being tight, then i reverse it. On a 2-4 the other day, i went from 4 pounds to 20 in a short time by doing this. Normally i play tight, but i have started to add a few starting hands such as suited connectors, 87 etc to my game.
