hi i dont see you done much wrong he obviously decided his ace was good pre and after that flop and it doesnt look like he would have folded whatever you bet.only question is why not all in on the flop or a cheque raise all in. as you had committed yourself with the bet anyway,at least then you have got your chips in good and its just a bad beat on the turn Response to Re: heads ups - what did i do wrong??:

I wouldn't jam pre, post flop maybe but as played done same job

Why would you jam when they are so deep donald?

because the limp raise screems that our opponent isnt folding. Have you honestly ever seen a guy limp raise then fold??

So if i can get the money in pre with KK then i will, then i dont need to worry about the board coming down 89T of hearts,

I disagree donny, limp raising does not mean they are not folding. in this example it maybe we will never know, but by shoving you are pretty much turning your hand face up you have PP 10+ or AK

Heads up i dont care what flop there is unless the Ace comes when you have kings, aim to get on flop unless it is super dangerous

I agree with Don here. I would re reraise all-in and take whats in the pot rather than see his rag ace hit. If he has aces so be it.

Mate i respect you as a HU player. But dont you think re-raising is almost turning your hands face up anyways, how many players 4-bet with a wider range than the one you mentioned, maybe AQ too.

so if im 4-betting im shoving.

Likewise donald, agree to disagree. Basically i think by shoving we are folding out small pocket hands and possibly AQ/AJ/A10 all player dependant but i think you are missing out on value by shoving

He limps you raise, when he reraises SHOVE your stack into the middle of the table DO NOT minraise, it's so **** awful it makes me want to cry.

Also just shove on the flop, if he has the jack say good game, click exit table.

It's played fine, once he makes it 6.4k pre flop, you know from that point that you're either gonna double up or bust - It's all going in.

I'd bet much weaker on the flop.

Well, there's 2 scenarios here- 1 is he's a good player, 2 is he's bad. A good player is rarely ever going to limp here, *maybe* trapping with aces but it's a very rare scenario so we can safely assume our player isn't very good.

If our player is good, we have to factor in possible 3 bet bluffs with intention of folding to a 4 bet, but with a bad player- a 3 bet is stack committing almost always. They won't limp reraise with the intention of folding, so just jam it in.

If, however, we want to look at trying to get the money in- what turns our hand face up more, min 4 betting or 4 bet jamming? The minraise is crying out to get called, and screams that you have aces or kings. Jamming makes it look more like QQ/JJ, possibly, and if your player is a little more capable, you're more likely to get action from AK/AQ/QQ. As it is, I think he'd snap it off anyway.

On the flop, if he has a J- gg wp. But it's such a small part of his range (AJ, maybe KJ/QJ/J10) that you just shrug it off. But the money HAS to go in on the flop IMO, the only way it's going in later is if you've gone behind.
