TSP Classic Guarantee, & the Site Luckbox.

As it was last week, the £2,000 Guarantee for the TSP Classic will be reduced to £1,500 on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday of next week (21, 22, & 23 of February) due to reduced numbers in it on those nights in the last few weeks.

It MAY be also reduced to £1,500 on Thursday & Friday - that is under consideration, & they will need to examine the field sizes on Thursday & Friday of this week first, & see how the trend develops next week. That decision has not been made yet, however.

In the 5 days just ended, it only exceeded 200 runners once, & dropped as low as 144 on one evening.

Meanwhile, big congrats to Phil12UK, who took it down last night. Typically, it was the FIRST time he'd ever played it, & he chose easily the biggest field of the week to make his winning debut. He's like Gary Player, that boy, the harder he practices, the luckier he gets.

    It hits every single poker player ever born, Debs, Phil included, but it hits the better-skilled players far less, because of the more optimal way they play the game. In effect, they just lose less when variance turns ugly, because they can get out of bad spots cheaper. "Losing the minimum" is not luck.

    Thx Tikay. Glad to get back in some mtt form after focussing solely on cash the past few months and struggling to re-adapt to tournament play!

    Are the highlights gonna be shown at all? When it was 4 handed, I had 7000 chips left after 'an accident' with blinds at 6000/3000!!!!!!!
