Hi Guys

Well - here I go.  I have decided to try and learn a bit rather than just play for fun, so here goes.

First hand in a DYM ( low level ), and this happened.

All advice welcome.

Thanks in advance

i disagree i dont snap fold the flop after all you do have a straight draw on and holding 2nd top pair, a call is probably the right thing to do, however with 3 other players in the game you have to be thinking that they are not playing for no reason at all, they all think maybe they can win this eg chasing a straight, a flush or already holding a pair, its a good idea to assume 8 is not gona be a good enough kicker here so a raise is ok but do not risk your tournament on it.

I think you've played this pretty fine until the end mate. No harm in calling 20 on the flop, I would be doing the same. I really like the raise on the turn, again I would do the same, I do think I'm ahead at this point. However, when the weak leader re-raises on the flop, alarm bells go off and I want to get to shown down as cheap as possible. Therefore I think you should flat call the re-raise. Now the pot's only 860 on the river and you're in a position to check/call any reasonable bet on the river.
