Some quick steps to avoiding and dealing with tilt.

What is tilt?

Tilt is a human reaction to many things. Tilt in poker terms is usually caused by losing a big pot, A bad beat, or even just being totally outplayed and thinking to yourself "how did i get in that situation?" We are only human afterall.

Avoiding tilt

So the best way i find to avoid tilt is some nice words, "Nice hand" then forget about it as best as you can. Forgetting about it i find is most important. If you don't forget about it quickly it will effect you for longer.

Already Tilted? Dealing with it.

The best way to deal with tilt once your in it i find is just don't play. Kill some Computer Generated Caraters on Call of Duty if you must. Another great way to deal with it is play well within your BR and just go nuts. For example drop 5 or 6 levels and just play aggressive poker. Even just do it on freeplay tables, just let the steam off and refresh, just make sure you don't care. If all else fails visit Area 51 and let some steam out.

Nice post, I like the bit about dealing with tilt.
I usually enter a decent game and play reckless poker, when I get knocked out I feel I have dealt with my gremlins and now feel fine, back to abc poker!
