    post more info ~~

    reg or fish

    passive or aggressive

    any noticeable past hands

seen any showdowns of his limps before etc

if you don't know any of these and he's been at the table more than 10min that's where you're going wrong first and foremost

What did you put him on when you got to the river ?

Cant see a lot wrong up to there.

Would have been a good fold !

Didnt get to river - villain shoves on my value bet on turn - put him on initially KJ, QJ or flush draw - never 76

Sorry read it wrong.. cant fault your play then. Have to grin and bear it, you can only get your chips in good, and know it will be profitable longterm. :)

your raising oop with a j its a pretty good hand in position but when you make it 40p into a 40p pot and everyone is calling with such a good price so you can put them on a very wide range, now you are on the flop oop betting into a wet flop with no idea were your at in the hand, on the turn 3 different draws get there and your in trouble when you bet so big and he shoves, you need to be more aware post flop more so oop or you will just spew money

right we have no reads on the villain here, but with the way the hand has played out, he flat calls and flat calls your 30pence raise at the start so we know his hand is not very strong. He flat calls your 3/4 raise on the flop which tells you he could very well be chasing straight/flush or have top pair not great kicker. But after he shoves your aggresive pot raise on the turn in stead of flat calling which he has done from the start tells us he has hit that card he was chasing so its a a very difficult but good fold. If i was in your possition at this point i would probably have him on QT, J9 or something like that,
