If you can keep your chips when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming you,
If you can raise when others call
But make allowance for their calling too;
If you can bluff - and not make bluffs your master
If you can accept wins and losses,
And treat your beats just the same;
Or watch the pot you've built up broken:
If you can swim with fish and make a profit
Or joust with pros - nor lose your wallet,
Yours is the game and everything in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a poker player my son!

Just realised I'm on 104 words but I assume within 10% is ok?
Tikay, Dave, Mods - please advise if we have to be 100 words or less and I'll edit, thanks!
Thanks Dave - down to 99! 8- />
And thanks Doh, appreciate the support!

I believe he also baked rather nice cakes, too.
Incidentally Dohhhhhh, did you know that a very famous Poet comes from Darfield, of all places? A Poet from Yorkshire? WTF? He's a sort of "working-mans" Poet - & a very interesting chap, as a matter of interest. He's the OFFICIAL Poet of Barnsley FC, amongst many other things. Good grief. You Yorkshire Boys going soft?
He's here....
