whilst playing primo i had an amusing dialogue in the chatbox with a cash expert who acted a wee bit superior which went like this.  i changed his name to xxxx

xxxxxxx       very constructive raise, your 1st tournament?

xxxxxxx       if u can logically explain the benefits using poker theory of min raising in tournament poker be my guest

    its pretty simple: you risk less to win the same amount, therefore they need to fold less often for it to be +cEV. you also lose less when they 3bet you.

     

    i srsly hope this wasnt me but as you said hes a nice guy, it definately isnt!
