Did I make the right move?

Two aggressive players, raise and a call, I squeeze hoping to get people off a hand like ace jack and if we get called its coin flip that if we win we are bossing the tourney. What do you guys think to this play?
Regards
Dan

42 bbs left you can pick far better spots,i have come to learn that this is not a great play, especially so early in the tourny.Think you were lucky not to be facing an overpair, overcards was the best poss result for you, even then 50/50 far far to soon in the tournament for me.

flat call the raise, and the re elvaluate or fold

What would you do? just fold?

Can you set mine for 5xbb from 40xbb stack?

Or are you flatting pre to float certain flops? If you get a good flop to float, and he checks the turn to you, are you just checking back looking for showdown?

I hate playing hands like this in spots like this (stack sizes) in tournys, I just end up bleeding off 1.5k.

How good/bad an option is just folding pre? as that's what I'd probably do if it was just the 5x open in front of me. I would have to call here tho with a 5x open and a call coz I can't resist.

since were in the BB and its only another 4bb to call id probably go set mining (note im not a great tourney player and this might be bad), i wouldnt really float many flops tbh as were oop and i credit peoples 5x range to be really strong

agree soooooooo much with bolded part

I dont think its profitable to set mine (button does sweeten it a bit tho), iv heard the rule of 12 used alot but i think it should be deeper, everything about this spot is awkward, open size, button call, stack sizes, when i first looked at this hand i thought the shove was terrible.....im not so sure now
