Hi

lately i have really started to get annoyed by people buyin in for the absolute mimium, i.e. on say a 10/20p table - 2pounds. You cannot bet against these people and any 3x standard raise is almost half their stack - so the flop play almost become irrelavent. I dont mind if you buyin for say half or possibly even a third of the maxium. But, the point where almost half your stack is posted just to enter a standard pot - then in my opinion it is silly.

Is there anyway for sky to up the mimium you have to buyin for a table - say at least 25/30 big blinds.

Even stranger that people do this, get felted, re buy for the same small buy in.  I think its their way of playing cap poker.  There are  people who specialise in playing shallow though.

you are so prejudice, you should be careful they don't take you to the European court of justice and Sue you but then again unless they get legal aid their £2 ain't going to buy them much justice

Im not being prejudice (lol) I dont mind how people spend their money, just i think sky need to make the mimium larger. For instance my local casino would never let anyone buyin for such a small amount - you have to have the stack to have the possibility of some post flop play.

I totally agree, buying in for 10bbs is a complete joke and needs to be upped to atleast 25bbs. F*c*'s me right off

Thing is, just as you cant tell people how to play, you cant tell them how much they should play for.  I'm not too bothered either way but I can see how it could be frustrating.

I'm sure at some point there will be segmented tables for deep/shallow/cap.  What is the minimum you can sit with here? 10BB?

Does drive you crackers when they start shoving all over the place, but it's nice when you're sat there with the nuts.

10bb is pretty ridic 20 isnt too bad as i dont think there is anyone using a proper SSS on sky yet but 30+ would be preferred for me atleast.

its annoying because it means you cant open super wide when you are otb and they are in the blinds.

and i swear they just fold until they ahve 6bbs then get auto dealt TT+

Hi I found this interesting article on mimium buyins: and how people are exploiting deep stack poke where mulitiple players buyin for the min, double up and immediately leave:
