Had only been moved to table 7 hands previous, I hadnt played a hand and I couldnt remember the villain playing a hand either.  So what would be the correct move here???

    Shove (go all-in). You've probably got the best hand now, but also have draws anyway. If you're gong to fold this, what would you call with? You've also put 700/1700 or about 40% of your stack in the middle already. You just can't fold here.
    Do you also see why you can't call? The pot odds will mean that you simply HAVE to call on the river, so shove now and there is a chance that the villain will fold (equity).

    As an aside - no-one ever disses anyone on this forum. Everyone's opinion is just as valid as anyone else's.

    OOPs! Just realised your stack was about 5K not 1700, but it's still a shove. Examine the hand and ask why?

    Alright Shaz! Shove the lot in! You have top pair, with nearly 40% chance of a (very good) flush draw.

      Hi Shaz, i only limped in here from the button because BB was allin short, probably could have raised pre to get you out of the way.
      Took your flop bet as a steal attempt, then when you pushed put you on a Q or a flush draw, luckily for me you missed. Put your chips to good use tho and managed to finish 7th.
      Was a good game tho and once again thanks to Phil.
