Hi guys,

Finding that playing DYMs and the like are suiting me in terms of my bankroll, patience and the fact i'm still learning the game and i'd like to concentrate on these for a while....

I'm sure this will have been asked before but what book would people recommend for SNG strategy?

Thanks

You could try 'Secrets of Sit n Gos' by Phil Shaw. Covers all kinds of stuff including ICM and has quizzes to test you.

Cool...i'm currently reading part 1 of Harrington's set on NL Tournaments, which is really helping in general.

    Any other ideas people?

I used to play tons of HV dym S+g's.  If you'll take my top three tips I'll offer them

    1)  Dont jam a small PP
    2)  If your going to raise in LP with a weak A, make the bet something you can fold to a re raise all in.
    3)  If your stacked DO NOT get involved unless you totally have to.

Not aware of many DYM S+G strategy books tho bud.  GL

Thanks for the tips...i worked the last one out already, but i've been playing a little on PokerStars as well as i'm not so keen on the 6max tables for DYM. But they do Fifty50 where you can get more based on chip stack. Great when you are going well as you can easily triple or quadruple up, but less good when limping over the line doesn't double you up....swings and roundabouts i guess

I saw them but didnt want to try them, adds a level of uncertainty back into the game.  You can have a high win rate at DYM, because (essentially) people are playing the same strategy + the bubble is the be all and end all.  Whereas the 50/50 dynamic takes these balancing elements away.  That wasa what I figured anywho..

Kill Everyone is good for regular STTs and MTTs, it probably won't help much for DYM's though.

Collin Moshman's book is highly rated; http://www.twoplustwo.com/books/poker/sit-and-go-strategy/

This is the best by far on STTs. I'm not aware of any DYM publications but there's plenty in this book that can be applied with just a little interpration.
