i was playing live poker in a cash tourney, early on  blinds were 200/400 starting stack 7000.

i was in mid position  had AK i raised to 600,the villian re raised to 2200,i was chip happyu so i pushed all in,it was costing the villian another,8000 to call, after some delibartion he calls ,he has only 6000 left.

so he calls with pocket 4,s,his hand holds,is this a bad call.

i tried to explain that it was such a bad call for his tournament life,as t6here was so many hands beating him , but the consensus of the table was that it was a  good call, bexcause he won the hand.

so was it  abad call or  a good call ???

please explain your answers

Seems a rather grim call if you ask me

what was your image at the table? if you had been playing tight I would say bad call especially for half his stack.
would a bigger initial raise by you have seen him fold?
overall though I would say a bad call for the price he's getting. at best he's racing

I remember my pub poker days, as if anyone is ever folding a pair!!!! lol

Raise more pre flop. Your post says u made it 600 at 200/400? Is that even allowed?

Make it like 2k or something then snap call any shove.
