Help please: Was my raise sensible given the situation or just stupid!
Primo semi - 44/141 left (ie 28 seats)
Down to 8BB I reraise all-in with 88, after cut-off bets 4BB of his starting 9BB stack
my choces as i see it:
fold and wait for a better spot - but my fold equity is running low and still a way to go
call and wait to see if there is an A in the flop, but it doesn't leave me with much and I reject it
re-raise all-in and hope its a race - which should give me enough to make it through if I hold-up
I choose the latter - he shows AQ - hits the A on the flop with no magic 8 on the river - all over.
I did think his initial raise signified strength - but also maybe a small chance he would fold to an allin

best to get your money in unopened pots in sats.
8 Bigs insta- shove imo, not going to get much better spots
U got in slight fave so nowt wrong with da shove
sats are totally different. it doesnt matter if we get to the places with 100k in chips or 100 chips. we want as much fold equity as possible when we do shove so shoving into a pot that has been 4x opened is not good.
Gets down to last 175, the game has got SUPER tight playing hand for hand. I've got around 22BB's left.
UTG makes it 3 x, UTG +2 calls, I muck AA.
That close to the bubble, I'd rather coast the bubble than pointlessly, fruitlessly, get involved un-neccassarily.
8 bigs does make it trickier though. I think i'd wait, planning to attack the blinds in un raised pots also.
