Standard tournie idea

How about making the standard tournaments a bit more attractive by adjusting the blind structure so that the blinds reach 100/200 after the first break and not before it--- they become a shove fest too fast imo--- maybe even 50/100 at the end of the first hour would make these tournies much more playable?

    N1 debs, 90% would like to see an adjustment so far, hard to ignore surely?--- I think a lot of people can't be bothered to play these because of the structure, I prefer a game where the skill factor has a better chance of making a difference, and I think just a small tweak could make these tournies more playable

    90% of 10 tho. lol.

    The structure for the first hour is fine, it's when you get to 300/600 onwards there needs to be more play.

    I cba to sit there for 5 hours+ to win a tourny, but if I'm still there after 2 hours I would like a chance of outplaying my opponents.

    125/250

    250/500

    500/1k level in all tournys.

    And some others later on.

    And not with all tournys either, the Tues and Sat night opens look fine to me, maybe add 1/2 more levels in later on.

    Theres different skills needed to play slightly faster tournys. 

    Theres more than enough deepstacks running every night on here, you look in the lobby and all you can see is "deepstack!" The forum people on here seem to be obsessed with those 2 words. 

    Normal stacks, slightly better structure plz :)

    Just on the subject of deepstacks....

    On another site the other day I was looking ion the lobby atr a deepstack mtt with a $10k PP gtd!.....$11 buy in....

    After 3 and a half hours of play, the starting stack would have equated to 10xbb.

    Why anyone would want to play that is beyond me - **** !!!!

    People say quicker tournys aren't "proper poker" coz it's a shove fest. 

    I would say the above is not "proper poker" - It's called sitting there waiting for cards.

    You start with 2000 chips Dohhhhhh, so if you don't double up before the break, you only have ten big blinds--- I just think people would find them more attractive if they had a bit more play, I'm not saying make them like a deep stack, just one extra level before the break would make the difference. I don't usually bother with them atm because of the structure, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. When my bankroll gets over 300 quid (rarely), I give a few of them a shot, but if the structure was better, then I would play them with a small bankroll. Personally, I think a lot of players are in this position.

    I very much agree with this, especially the big bit.

    Massive changes aren't needed, but it can be tweeked for the better.

    Gets my vote, u're now above 90% ;)

    Well, looks like they might be thinking about it Debs, would be nice to see these tournies with a bit of a better structure, I don't think they are great value for money as they are.
