General Q really

Playing at low lv tourneys ~(£2.20 DS mainly) I regularly go bust with KK & QQ.

At this lv it seems an ego thing that if u 4/5 bet the guys with A7,A6 etc they will shove or call ur shoves.

Now I know statistically I should win more times than not in this situation (although doesnt seem to be the case - not even remembering the bad beats/ not remembering when they hold up - GO STRAIGHT TO AREA 51 - DO NOT PASS GO!)

Should I stop trying to get it in pre (especially in first 2 hrs of a deepstack) with these hands & bid strongly post flop unless an Ace turns up - in which case fold ?

Your thoughts please peeps.

get as much money as possible in pre, especially if they are calling with Ax

keep getting it in pre. problem with seeing if an ace comes on the flop is that

    A) your opponent may not have an ace and you just get scared away.

    B) if your opponent misses the flop (which they will alot) your not going to get any chips out of them.

get it in pre, laugh at them because they think poor aces are good enough to get it in with and take their chips (70%+ of the time)

I think its a risk vs reward thing

If I win my stack is bigger than the field and can go into 2nd half of tourney - not guaranteed to win or even cash.

If the Ace hits I'm stuck watching DeadEnders with the wife !! - not that attractive (no - not the wife!)
