From tonight's Take on Tikay.
Fairly early on and I'm doing ok, jogging along in midfield. I think I was right to call the all-in but should I have made a tactical withdrawal earlier in the hand and saved my stack for later?

I 3bet pre against a minraise, I might flat against a bigger raise though
Flop I prob flat, raising is prob ok too. Still think I fold to the cold 3bet though it looks really strong, after a pot bet and a minraise in front
That's the problem with JJ - looks so pretty! To be fair I had the guy down as pretty loose and he'd shown a couple of bluffs earlier. Once I'd got him heads up I reckoned I had him. At least he didn't cash!
I think this somes it up. You want to be raising good hands like this pre in mtts, unlike cash tournaments are mostly pre flop and a flop based game.
Now 3 betting pre likley ends the hand, but ou win. On the flop 7 high, its hard to get away simply because you can put them on AA, KK, QQ because you havent re-raised pre. Although because you havent re-raised pre every chance he can hit this flop huge.
