Much needed advice on how to get the other half to accept me playing poker at night?

Bit of an ongoing thing really.

Does anyone else who lives with there partner get it in the neck for playing at night?

Ive tried bribing her with my winnings yet she still goes on, why can't she just watch eastenders and let me play?

Do I need to put my foot down??

    I love that you've posted this in the poker clinic looooooooool

    You need to win more so that your bribes are more tempting. Or next time enders is on say she isn't allowed to watch it unless she sits and watches you play poker for 2 hours first.

    Just dump her and stay single like me.

    Although it can get lonely at times, especially when you have nobody to celebrate your wins with.

    Having said that, I never win anyway so that's no problem.

    I give all of my FPP on another site to the missus in the form of Amazon vouchers.  She's very happy.  I'm surrounded by shoes.  Seriously.

    i have the same problem mate, i tend to play late at night after she's gone to bed, have to make sure i do stuff with her during the daytime/cook for her/take her out/buy her sh#t etc......yeah so basically bribe her (girls are superficial animals)...its used to be much more of a problem but she's accepted it more now

    You are learning that ladies ALWAYS wear the trousers, metaphorically speaking.  This is a universal truth: even if we allow you to think you're dominant it is only for the purpose of disguising the thumbprint.  There are some very good ways of keeping ladies happy and TommyD has nailed one.

    bribe her with some of your winnings. If you are not a winner shes going to leave you anyway so do what the **** you like.

    This is what I used to do but since having our baby i'm having to get up early so i'm going to bed alot earlier than before.

    Hopefully she will go back to work soon so I can get some peace lol.

    Not so funny if they actually did and the misses happened to be watching!!
