DYM KoJack early doors facing shove. Unsure what to do?

Table has been a bit cagey early doors. Hardly any showdowns and a lot of limping pre flop. Quite a passive table really when this happens. The bet on the flop is too small, i know that, but i wanted to get paid. There have been loads of folds to 1/2 pot raises. Not an excuse, just a bit of reasoning behind the weird bet size. He flats and then shoves the turn. Where do i stand with this hand now? Is it my fault for showing weakness on the flop? Didnt have a clue what he was doing this with? Thought he might have a big overpair but he only limped pre so i didnt know what to think.

Anyway, feel free to rip in to this hand!! Cheers guys.

A call in late position, followed by a call to a 3x re-raise,
looks like he has a low/med pocket pair and is set mining.
If he's hit, then he's calling your bet all day long.
He's shoving the turn to protect against str8 and flush draws.

Are you happy to go all-in to showdown with just top pair?

From playing a lot of DYM's I'm not raising preflop here, you only have 19 bb's before you raise and are probably playing it OOP post flop with just 16 left.

Defo check pre and play this flop strong as in don't fold.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

iBluff, didnt want to shove the flop as i was pretty sure i was in front so wanted a bit of value for my hand. I bet flop smallish cos i didnt want to lose the customer and wanted to portray a weak c-bet.

Red King, yep, understand that point totally. Went through my head too. My thinking was that if he had hit his set, why would he shove, surely he would head to value town. He can protect his hand with a smaller raise cant he?

Dudeskin, i sort of understand checking pre but prefer to be the aggressor. I do ok at DYM's but i dont make a lot from them. Should i limp in more as i tend to come in with a raise if i have a hand?
