    lol@60p into £4.40

    lol@£1.20 into £5.60

    POD!!!!

Preflop raise was a tad weak, but at least it was closer- think I'd probably go around £1.20 pre and thin the field a bit

2/3-3/4 bet on pot, probably more like 3/4 bet on turn, money's as good as all in by the river if it goes that far- rinse and repeat...

i honestly thought after a small bet on flop that he hit part of it, the turn i thought i would just keep it going and fire on river , but then the q came and thought ohhh shi t e! no way was i putting another bean in after that. killer turn and river, but thats what happens when you play it like a donk!!

I think its way to weak, a standard 4x raise plus 1 for each limper gives £1.80.

POD you know this, you just have to make sure you do it.

I think £1.80 is overkill, in the £1.20/1.40 region gets the same job done with less outlay.

I'm a big fan of the 1bb/limp theory, but I think taking it too literally is a bad thing (just in my opinion). I use this up to 2 limpers, but more than that and I lower the amount for each limper- 1/2bb or less. I also disagree with a 4x raise being standard at 20NL- I'd prefer 3-4x and vary between there, 4x as standard is too high (I think).

The point of raising a bunch of limpers is to thin the field, and either eliminate all hands, or end up against 1, 2 max hands which hopefully you dominate. What you want to do is size that to a) eliminate speculative hands, b) get away as cheaply as possible if someone's slowplaying a monster, c) leave it open enough for people to potentially squeeze so that you get profit when you have a legit monster yourself.

By raising that high pre I think you're folding out everything apart from legit hands, and if the open limper has done the classic limp-raise with AA, you've now put far more in than you need to.

I don't see any point in raising, oop and the table looks like it loves to call.. then i'd try n c/raise flop

i was mixing 3 and 4x bb on all tables tonight with good results, even after this debarcile of a hand i ended up 70 quid up. its just when i hit the absolute nuts  just go to pot, i know the flopbet should have been higher, but i didnt want to scare them off, the turn should have been bigger still but again there wasnt much to be scared of. just put myself in a whole heap of trouble. its the reason i think why i can make good money at this level and nl30, but till i sort this problem out i cant go any higher. pains me to say it but i got to get this part of my game fixed  phil
