Just curious if I played this correctly as i very rarely play tourneys. Quite early on some good quality players as you can see. Just want peoples desions what they would do on the flop.

Preflop I decided I was playing despite being UTG. No chance im getting a chance to limp in and set mine, so i raised.

Just speaking for myself, small Pocket pairs are a hole in my game overall that I play cautiously as not to spew chips away.  I would be trying to keep the pot small as you do, to get away cheaper on all non set flops after being called in two spots following an UTG raise.

Generally speaking you got a good flop, you lead out strong, but get the wrong kind of action from Jakally.  Just not a great spot.  I think your behind when he puts the bet in, to maybe a middling PP, just not a nice spot.

Without the dynamic I cant say what I do, but your bet sizing is good

I had been playing really tight, never ever limping and always raising, mostly from C/O and button. So my way of thinking was that my raise pre UTG showed big strength.

I decided that Jackally was on an overpair to the board, so hes currently ahead. I didnt like the idea of calling as I think I would be jammed on the turn......and Scotty might have come along too.

Soooooo I snap Jammed. I thought my oppos would put me on AA (if they didnt have it already - with if they did I could still win as an Ace wouldnt improve their hand compared to mine, and I held two of the 5s) Had outs so wasnt a complete bluff, and I knew Scotty could not call being stuck in the middle.

Scotty folded quickly and Jackally made me sweat it for the full bar before folding. My Desison to do this was based around my belief that Jackally could lay down an overpair. Is this play likely to get me into trouble in similar situations?

Jakally wont lay down a big overpair JJ+ here

I  like the jam, but if you have been playing pretty solid and not got out of line more often your going to be called when you shove. I reckon he prob had 88-1010 or could just think that you will lay it down

    WP good bet sizing throughout

    Good stuff.

Im gutted as I went out of this tourney two places before payouts, I had been playing really well and for reasons only beknown to my subconcious, I decided to play one of the worst hands I have played in years vs Grenfish for my entire stack.

Im not even going to discuss it, I played it THAT bad!! LOL Anyway, im deffo in tonights!!

    Thanks for the feedback guys
