Percentage symbol not allowed in notes?

Hi, when I enter a note on a player and include the '%' symbol, the next time I look at the note the symbol isn't displayed. I'm guessing it's programmed like this to prevent sql injection attacks, but I know from experience that there are ways to protect from this while allowing any symbols to be entered.

I'm guessing there are other 'banned' symbols but haven't come across any yet.
