Just awful, Card dead and miserable for 3 hours, no way to combat it??

Just a fricking awful session that makes you wonder why we play poker.  £1/£2 9 max at casino.  Sat down at 8.30 pm with £400.

Played 2 hands all fricking night.  Literally best hand I picked up was 6c8c, missing the board entirely.  Cant even play position and shoot off a few barrels as guy 3 seats to my left is sat with about £2.5k and is just the biggest calling station douche I've seen in forever.  Not only that, any hand I limp or make a move (with this really tight stagnent image) he just re pops to around £25, happy to call down with any part of it.  Only benefit was I was able to open small with the mildly strong drawy hands, not really getting 3 bet due to the infrequency of my opening bets.  But couldnt make it a habit raising trash just to be reppoped to a crazy amount by crazy guy

Every hand I'm dealt I'm praying to see something just slightly better than marginal so I can limp 3 bet, but keep seeing 104, 92, 105, 62, just worst live session I've had in months.

Finally pick up 8h9h, totally above par for my nights range, I 3 bet early Position raiser on the button, crazy stacked guy on my left calls as does intitial raiser.  Flop comes 892, GIN.  They check I bet pot, am not seeing clearly, crazy guy jams I call, he shows 10Q, you can guess the turn card (J).

Just horrible horrible session.  Very rare I'm playing so card dependant but cant do anything due to this guy on my left.

Gave up after loosing £300, just not being able to find a hand and went and ate pizza and drank JD till it came out my ears.

How do you guys combat this online?  Or 4 - 12 tabling do you just not see it as an issue?

online this isn't an issue.  if im totally card dead i just stop/go on another site and load up a tonne of tournies/micro stakes PLO.

i do get very tilted tho live cash if i am unable to play a hand for like 30 mins.  unusually it only really affects me at my 'local' casino in Luton.  if im somewhere new/smoewhere I only occassionally play then it doesn't bother me so much...prob cos I'm paying far more attention to the table as a whole.

I was super steamed when I put this up, but there was a serious question to it.

My average night live is going to one of many cash games that are dotted around.  Tue/Fri Sat I mix in some decent MTT's, playing cash if i go busto.

In all honestly I've been running/playing very well this quarter.  Last night was the only incident of this level of card deadness.. in quite awhile.  I'm not a huge online player these days, though I plan on getting back to it early next month.  How do you combat it online?  To some degree I stimulate my own entertainment but I am not a fan of stimulating too much action overall, doesnt tend to be profitable.  I dont Tilt, well i do, I've just learnt how to stop myself before I get to the point that I go over the edge and lose control of it.

You ever just sit multi tabling online and feel that bored?

my way of combatting this is open shove 101BB with AQ and walk into AA, KK and JJ. Usually sets the mind normal again.

Seriously tho, loosen your range, as your obviously not playing many hands people will believe ur raises. One raise per circle till u get a biggie.

Normally i would do this and squeeze off a few shots post, expecting image to get it through.  But as  I say in OP, there's this giant douche 3 seats to my left 3 betting hugely and calling down super light.  Great situation normally, but when your own holdings are beyond sub par, not the best time to force the action
