    Hey pad...

Seen a few of ur hands now, and everytime you are first in with the raise it always seems to be a min raise, like here u made it 40 when blinds are 10/20....

A standard raise in most scenarios, is 3 or 4 x big blinds....so 60, or 80 in the above hand would be normal.

I know you're new, you might not know that you can increase your raise size? .........

Btw unlucky with the hand, I bet u fancied your chances when you saw that flop.

Its pretty rare but happens.  Have had it 3 times, once online twice live.

I seem to remember a hand on high stakes poker season 3 (I think) where P.  Antonious and Lederer are set up this way, multi layered betting pre, with plenty money behind going to flop.  K high flop and Howard bricks himself, takes him a looong time to commit.

Antonious said it was the first time he'd EVER seen it.  So even a pro playing millions and muhillions of hands can wait years to see it.  Spectrum :)

I was gutted, but was pleased I didn't fold AA! LOL!

    Thanks for your input!

    Iveseen it a few times.

Gleneg the only problem with you just opening for a min raise in early blind levels is you might get 5 callers pre.once one call and next calls the rest like their price. Aces isnt that strong 5/6 way.

Later on in the tournament when the blinds are 1000/2000 this would be ok
