Sky Poker's Super Sunday Thread - Playing, Supporting, Sweating... COMPETITION TOO!

Morning!

Today is going to be an absolutely jam-packed day of poker. I thought it would be a nice idea to set up a thread for people to post their progress and hands from today's 'Super Sunday'. Here are some of the day's highlights:

£500 Bounty Hunter - 2pm
£500 Bounty Hunter - 4pm
Vegas Qtr Final - 5pm.
Sunday Survivor - 7.30pm.
£12,500 Primo - 8pm.
£1,500 Mini Primo - 8.15pm
GUKPT Summer Series Semi - 9.15pm.
SPT Cardiff Semi - 9.30pm

So you could either go to Vegas, Cardiff, Plymouth or... erm, Bolton. If live poker isn't your thing you could try shipping the Primo or it's little brother, Mini Primo. All of that on top of the brand new Survivor, which kicks off at 7.30pm. If you don't know much about that, you should check out Tikay's excellent post explaining all.

If you're buying in direct, satelliting your way in or simply going to admire from the rail (although that's nowhere near as much fun, obviously!), let the rest of the Sky Poker Community know how your Sunday is going on this thread and let's see if a Community member or two can take down some of these.

Good luck all!

Oh, and that's not all - the best FIVE posts on this thread today will win seats to tomorrow night's 'Take on Tikay'.

What makes it the 'best'? I honestly don't know! It could be great analysis, a good piece of railing, a brag after you qualify for Cardiff... I'll let you all be creative. We'll judge the entries tomorrow morning, so good luck with that too :)

Well, took the wife off to bingo, grandkids kicked off back to their mums and bought the dog a pork bone to keep him quiet in the kitchen! Peace at last, settle down to a game of poker. Ive got to pick the lady back up at 9:15, and im up at 6am in the morning, so it 10pm beauty sleep time for me. Time for a quick game of survivor, 414 entered, so that's 207 going through, ive got this off to a tee i think, it always lasts about 45 minutes, so i did nothing rash, just folded til it got to 50/100 then stole the blinds, same at 100/200, kept myself at 2000 chips, qualified easily and only played 2 hands. Some of the others seemed to be very aggro, don't they know its ''survivor'' not ''come 1st'' I'm also doing the updates for the sky super survivor challenge, we started with 18 and after day 1 we are down to 10, wow 8 out already, £33 BH for the winner thanks to Bernie, anyway got to go do my ''taxi'' duties see ya all tomorrow in the 7:15 and 7:45 deepies, and be lucky!

Gave the micro cash games a miss tonight after to many hours of frustrating bad beats in last cpl of days, so just played a few low stakes DYM,s , winning 2 out of 3 . I was to late to play any of the SPT sats and after yesterdays semi it seems I,m destined not to make it to Cardiff but will have a go tommorow at a cpl more sats

Logged on earlier in time for the Survivor Series "well 5 minutes late".

Wish it had been 6 or 7 mintes late though as my 2nd hand delivered me AA which got cracked by the mighty hand that is 10-6 off suit after opponent hit 2 pair

I did prefer the last survivor series where when you were out that was it you were out, although I,ve now changed my mind after losing as i can just buy back in tommorow for £2

Just gonna have a quick browse through the low stakes cash + DYM,s for an hour to see if theres any value before an early night (anything before 5am is an early night for me as I don,t have to be up in the mornings)

Haha! I like the approach, Shaz! To be fair though, I have to compete with Kendall and Orford. :P

As for when I am on the screens next, I'll be doing more stuff based around the SPTs in the short term - I am basically like a last minute sub should the folks on the channel need a chair filling, which I am always happy to do :)

Right, so who won what yesterday? No one on here win the Primo? Any SPT qualifiers? Or were you all too busy grinding the DYMs?

Competition deadline is going to be extended to 3pm folks - let us know how you did at the tables and one of those Take on Tikay seats could be yours. Well worth playing, too. There's a chap in there called 'Tony Kenfold' or something who basically blinds out to about 25th every time, so it's like a tournament with added valu-ooooooo. ;)

AS I WAS WORKING YESTERDAY,DIDN'T GET MUCH CHANCE TO PLAY AND I CAME HOME WITH A SPLITTING HEADACHE SO DIDN'T FANCY STARING AT MY LAPTOP FOR HOURS. BUT AS I WAS REGISTERED FOR THE SURVIVOR THOUGHT I'D BETTER PLAY IT AND SURVIVED.

the less we say about sunday the better.

i started well but after a few coolers my interest waned, instead of 2 hour plus sessions at the micro cash tables i was lucky to do 1 hour at a time.

im not blaming the cards or luck but as the day went on my head got deeper and deeper up my backside til eventually i was doing everything wrong. guess its my own fault but i should have switched off mid afternoon but i kept returning. only short session mind you, but potentailly damaging.

yesterday i played like a total muppet and how i walked away with a £2 profit is beyond me, lessons to be learned from this

You just had to have a crack at the Survivor, what with it being Survival Sunday in the football and all that!

I just wish Blackpool had the option to re-buy back the next day...
